My INDS Degree
I have chosen to center my degree around cultural sensitivity in healthcare. I recognize the importance of forming strong relationships with patients and as a future nurse, cultural sensitivity is an essential part of these relationships. Combining three main disciplines of nursing, modern languages and linguistics, and social sciences, I have been able to create a degree focused on patient-centered care.
Post Graduation Plans
With this degree, I will follow my nursing endeavors by attending the University of Maryland School of Nursing, Baltimore to pursue a Masters of Science degree in nursing. I hope to become a pediatric nurse practitioner and continue to do research in order to develop a patient-centered assessment for cultural sensitivity in clinical settings.
