Departmental Honors

Designations

Departmental Honors within INDS focuses on student performance in the areas of Academic Excellence, Research and Program Engagement.

In order for students to earn an Honors designation in INDS, they must achieve a 3.0 GPA overall and one item in each of the columns listed in the chart below. The notation for earning Honors in Individualized Study will be noted on your transcript upon completion of your bachelor’s degree.

Excellence

Award of distinction for an individualized degree plan

Any 2 of the following: INDS 330H, 430H or 490H (with a grade of A or B)

3.5 GPA or better in degree plan courses

Research

Presentation at conference, including URCAD

Award for outstanding capstone project

Award for outstanding capstone project presentation

Engagement

Jill Wrigley Award for Service to INDS

Outstanding Professionalism Award

ISC Service or other dedicated service to the program
