The Garden at UMBC has its origins in the hard work of INDS students and staff. It is a wonderful example of the applied work championed by the program and of how students can be agents for change in the university community. Through 2013 and 2014 our students, with the guidance of their peerless mentor, teacher and INDS staff member Jill Wrigley, worked to bring this unique initiative to life. With the support of both a BreakingGround grant and a $10,000 SGA Prov-it grant, The Garden was established in 2014 in its current location next to the Police Station.
