Congratulations to Sarah Miller, whose work with mentors Dr. Sarah Chard (ANTH) and Colette Veasey-Cullors (MICA) has landed awards from UMBC's URA program and the National Science Foundation work with anthropologist John Burdick from Syracuse whose research team is investigating the affordable housing movement in Rio de Janeiro. Sarah will also be using participatory photo methods as a anthropology fieldwork tool to study women’s roles in the affordable housing movement.
